    Zander’s food story is not a romantic one. There were no generations old recipes that were passed down from the matriarchs of the family.

    Being half Singaporean and half Australian, Singapore is where Zander is home, however having spent 7 years in Australia, he was able to immerse in the culture and the myriad of food the country has to offer. He is just as comfortable in Tekka Market as he would be in Queen Victoria Market. This marriage has led to the food that truly defines Zander; Italian Asian cuisine inspired by Italian techniques fused with Asian ingredients.

    It comes down to simplicity, as Zander’s love for food has him spending a good part of his life, collecting recipes through his travels and experiences with street food and local eats. These provided him with the fundamental source of inspiration and fuelled his hunger for more.
